Day 1 - Afternoon - Bringing Annabelle to Hotel

(After a peaceful and joyful carriage ride from the homestead, they arrived at the Chateau. Preston noticed Annabelle not looking her best, and quickly got of the carriage and over to his guest)

Preston: Here, take my hand Annabelle, let me show you to one of the finest rooms available.

(Preston helped Annabelle out of the carriage and glanced over to Albert, hoping he wouldn’t mind him dong his actions)



** Tag Annabelle / Albert **

[Albert Emerson]

Albert: Your didn't change Preston! Always ready to help the damzell in distress! Gentleman like you are, it is surprising that you weren't engaged yet!

(Albert glanced to Annabelle and back to Preston)

Albert: You know, since Laura miscarriage, Annabelle always hoping that you would bring some lil cousin to the children when they were younger.

(Annabelle greeted Preston with a sign of head for the help than looked to her husband)

Annabelle: Laura? Who is?



Albert: My sister. She was married to Preston's brother and...

(Albert hesitated few seconds, he remembered how Preston and Laura wasn't really friendly at the end).

Albert: Look Anna, that is not a wonderful hotel?

(Albert try to change the subject for not annoye Preston with the details).

** Tag Preston **

(Preston stood few seconds, thinking about what Albert said and felt somehow embarrassed and unwilling to testify, but he had to say something)

Preston: Well you know me, always constantly thinking about business. I hardly have time for social events.

(Preston then thought about Laura who was mentioned and felt hatred go threw him. He didn’t pay attention to Albert’s comment on his hotel and quickly without hesitation spoke his mind)

Preston: Yes, Laura, who can forget her. I do hope I never am to be in her presents again.



(Preston noticed how Albert was showing signs of conceal and worries. It made Preston realize he had made an unpleasant comment about his friend’s sister and that Annabelle, who wasn’t sure how to react, didn’t know anything about her)

Preston: Forgive my improper expression. I occasionally tend to speak without further consideration.

(Preston thought he best get out of this less shameful situation, by moving things along)

Preston: Now then, how about we take a look at the hotel, where I assure you everything is in the highest and finest standards.

("Shall we" Preston said while rising his left arm and pointing towards the hotel doors)

Tag Albert / Annabelle

(Albert nodded and, with the arm of Annabelle under his arm, he follow Preston inside. He feel dumb about told the name of Laura and remember how Preston - well, the four Lodge brothers - didn't have any considerations for her, but she was a part of his familly and a part, a friend and always helpful with Annabelle. He will need to talk to Preston before left back to Boston.)

Albert: Very pretty. Annabelle will have the best in the West for her stay here.

(He looked to his wife who was exmining the place carefully some furnitures and decoration.)

Annabelle: That is lovely, you made a great work here Preston. I can't wait to see the room.

(She glanced to Preston and followed the direction for the room).
