** Read the previous part at the Grace's Café: Click Here **Emma and Matthew had left the café and had now reached the borading house. Emma hoped that she was able to get a room. She looked over to Matthew her eyes searching his face, but before he could look at her, she turned to look at the house that stood infront of them. She was hoping she would get a room.

Matthew: I’m sure there’s a room available. The next thing he wanted to say was difficult, but he had to say it. Matthew: Emma? How…… He tried to think of a good way of saying it, but his words he thought of, just didn’t seem to come easy. Matthew: Would you be able to pay for your stay? He shouldn’t have said this he repeated in his head, but now he couldn’t take it back. Who did he think he was, asking her out like that, like he didn’t have any faith in her that she was able to get by on her own? But of course she was, he was just concerned for her and that’s what made him say it in the first place, he only hoped she wouldn’t mind him asking.

Emma nodded with Matthew agreeing that there sure was a room there for her. She smiled down at her bag as she held it in her hand. Yet when she heard Matthew called her name, she looked up, her eyes linking with his, yet what came out of his mouth surprised her. She directed her eyes away from him immediately.
“I – I” She stuttered, she felt taken back by his comment. “By money of course….” She said suddenly and before she could continue she turned away from Matthew trying to bring her thoughts together.
“I-I can pay thanks Matthew” she said now looking back up at him. She hoped that her expression was not to much of a give away that she was hurt by his comment.

Matthew: Good afternoon miss Viviane.
He hoped he had remembered her name correctly from the time he heard Dr. Mike mentioning her. He smiled and glanced towards Emma.
Matthew: Do you have any rooms available at the moment? Emma is in need of one while she’s visiting town.

Emma looked over to Matthew, she wondered what his reply might have been like, if they were not caught out by the young woman who now stood in front of them. "Good afternoon" she said following Matthew's lead "...oh wow we must have been quite some time at Graces" Emma said startled by the time it was now realizing it was the afternoon.
"Well I'm looking for a room, miss" Emma said softly hopefully that the young lady did have one free. She quickly glanced at Matthew and reached over squeezing his hand gently, wanting to let him know, there was no hard feelings with what he had asked her before Viviane appeared.

Emma shook Viviane's hand taking note of the strong handshake the woman had. "Thank you Miss....i do like the house...is it alright, that i will drop off my things and go back into town?" She asked softly.
Emma knew that the place has a welcome feel to it and this made her smile. The blonde woman whom stood in front of her and Matthew seemed nice and friendly, 'Maybe a new friend?' thought Emma.
Her eyes went over to Matthew and she felt her smile go wider. "I think i need a few things Matthew, i hope you do not mind, i think maybe your company within the town would be lovely" Emma softly spoke as she pulled her shawl around her tighter with her free hand.

Emma smiled at Viviane and nodded her head gently to the woman as she spoke about leaving her bag in the living room. "Oh thank you miss....do not worry i will not be passing comments on the work being done, I'm not that kind of person, however i think the house at the moment has a lot of character, old houses too you know" Emma said. Before Emma could continue to move her bag into the living room, Viviane had asked the question that had made the young woman stop from picking her bag up. Emma's eyes glanced at Matthew and she saw how he blushed, however Emma blushed too, knowing that the blonde woman thought they were a couple but really old friends. 'Oh know what do i say' Emma thought.
The young brunette girl shifted her eyes now from her hands and looked up, looking now slightly confident as she answered the question. "Well...you see Miss Viviane, this is my old friend Matthew..." She looked over to Matthew and before she could apologize for him she blurted out. "Would you like to share super?" This had shocked Emma herself, she did not think she had the confidence to ask Matthew out right, but there she was, saying now.

Matthew wasn’t as surprised as he thought he would be when Emma asked him about the supper. He gave her a smile with one of his cheesy expressions making him seem shy. Matthew: Yeah sure, sounds great. It’ll be a pleasure Emma.

While walking to the living room, Viviane continued to talk.
Viviane: I must notice you that there is currently three children living in this house too, occassionaly a fourth.
Viviane thought about Samantha which was planned to come sleep here soem week-end.
Viviane: Your room will be on the main floor, there. There is more room upstair, but by being larger, they are already used by the famillies renting a room here.

Matthew walked side of Emma, even though it wasn’t his business, but he was curious to where Emma would be staying and how the boarding house looked from inside.
