Oliver walked side of Lottie. They walked a bit away from the other kids and didn’t pay attention to their surroundings.
Oliver: So you are going home now... right? I’m off to the bank, today I have to clean the usual windows.

Lottie walked beside Oliver, her thoughts swirling around her head, but the question brought Lottie back to the situtation. "ohh..." she said gently looking up at Oliver. "You work at the bank?" she smiled as she heard this and she knew about the bank being high up. "Could-Could i come and watch you?...or help you?" she asked now in a soft murmer, because she did not want to go home yet, she had actually enjoyed her first day of school and being with Oliver had brought the little girl confidence.

Oliver: Sure! I don’t know if Mr. Lodge would allow you to work with me, but you can watch me for as long as I’d like. The two kids had almost reached the main street. Oliver: I’ve been working at the bank since your age. I think it’s great to earn some money and be around such an interesting place, well you see it’s because I dream of opening my own bank someday. I think its so fascinating what goes on there. I only hope I become as lucky as Mr. Lodge. Banking stuff is hard, especially if you want to open your own bank, but I’ll work hard until I achieve it. Oliver glanced at Lottie and wondered if he talked too much or if she would understand and find it interesting. It wasn’t everyday he had the chance to tell someone about his deepest dreams that he burned so much for in life.

Lottie smiled kindly at Oliver. “If he does not mind, I would like to watch you Oliver….I used to help my pa with the work in our old home, but since we moved here, we only got one room to keep clean so he does not need my help as much….”The little girl trailed off as she noticed they reached the main street. Lottie’s eyes searched the street, a place where she had yet to explore, a place where she did not know her way around, she became nervous and she swiftly reached over and took Oliver’s hand into her own. Listening the blonde haired child nodded gently. She could not believe that Oliver had been working since her age. But the thought of earning some money to call your own made it a recognizable goal as to why he did it. “Opening your own bank?” she reapted back to Oliver but as a question now. This had made her eyes go wide but with passion, she had always wanted to be an artist and draw the things she always saw in her head and imagination. She knew then that the two were some how linked. “I’ve been to a bank a few times with my Pa, but we had a different kind of …experience… they took my mother’s golden locket, so that it could be used to pay off some money that we did not have to pay for the house….” She looked down at her shoes as they hit the stones on the street. “But I understand that to have a bank is such a high possession that it must be overwhelming with delight to have such a beautiful job….i think Oliver” Lottie paused. “I think you will achieve your dream, you seem so set to achieve it, that I’m sure you will” she said this softly with a smile. “We all have dreams and I know that you got to work hard for them to come true, but with your dream, it seems so much closer than others, that you could just reach out and touch it” She told Oliver with a smile, she was very bright for her young age.

Oliver: Thanks, that means a lot to me, that you think that. Oliver felt embarrassed with Lottie holding his hand, but when the little girl kept speaking, Oliver felt suddenly amazed. How could she talk like that? The words she chose and how she understood everything was just one huge question mark to Oliver. He felt somehow lucky to have befriended such a bright child and one who seemed to be the only one understanding him and his dream. Oliver spotted the bank and with Lottie holding his hand, he walked hasty towards the destination. **Continues at the bank: Click Here**
