Sunny walked alone in the forest. She was suppose to pass the day with her cousin Abigail, but Aby had to baby-sitting her little cousin Tom all the afternoon. Marcus Jennings, the father of Tom, didn't alloweb that the little boy follow the girls into the wood. So Sunny was alone for this afternoon of fishing.
The 8 years old girl arrived to the river and dat under a tree for have some shadow during the fishing - it was quiet, few birds singing in the trees.
Three hours later, she had 2 fish and was packaging her bag when she heard noise coming from behing a shrub. She continued to package her bag slowy, when she noticed a brown bear jump out of the shrub.
In panic, she scream and climb in the tree side of her while the bears decided to eat her fish at the bottom of the tree. When the bear finished to eat the fish, the animal stayed behind the tree, while pushing on it.
Sunny was scared on the tree, wished not fall on the ground and have to face the savage animal.
Time passed, maybe five or ten minutes? Sunny didn't knew but it was an eternity for her! She heard more noise coming from the forest and also a kind of whistle and the animal left the tree for walk away along the river.
Always in shock, Sunny stayed in the tree, trying to took her breath slowy. She heard people talking, but she didn't understood what they were saying. Indian? What they are doing do near the town she thought to herself. What was the worse - bear or indians?
She noticed two indian - a man with a teen, maybe his son. The man glanced toward the bear leaving. She stopped to breath, trying to not made a sound, but her feet slip from the branch and made noise.
The younger indian looked toward her and said something to the older. The man asked something to Sunny, but she didn't understood it. She was so scared that she wasn't sure if it was true or her imagination. While trying to grip her hand to another branch, the one where she was broken and she fall from the tree and hurt her head on the tree trunk.
