(Preston reached the front door and stood now outside a little nervous of what to say, and if they would have time for his visit. Preston pulled himself together and knocked on the door)

Butler: Yes, may I help you sir?

Preston: Yes, is Albert Emerson in?

Butler: I am afraid that Master Emerson is out on a business trip and will not be back before Monday.

Preston: Oh I see.

Butler: May I inform the young lady of the house, that you have arrived?

Preston: Annabelle? Ehh yes……Yes you may.

Butler: Very well sir, if you will just wait here for a moment, then I will notify her of your arrival.

Preston: Thank you.



(The old butler turned away from the door and walked up the stairs to find Annabelle)

With his 8 months pregnant belly, Annabelle arrived finally at the door. SHe didn't waited any visitor and wasn't sure who could it be at this time of the day.

"Preston?" she said surprise to see him far away of Boston.

She was interrupted by an anger woman. "Mr. Emerson, you should stay sit and not walking like that. " the nurse exclaimed behind Annabelle.

Annebelle sighed while heard the nurse that her mother-in-law sent to them, for help her in her pregnancy.

"Not a chance Miss Limerick." Annabelle turned to Preston, like he was his hero. "I already planned to take a wlak outside." and Annabelle tend her arm to Preston, hoping that hw will not be annoying to escape her of this witch. IN fact, she didn't expected walking far away, but just in front, few minutes without heard this woman.

"Mrs. Emerson! Mrs. Emerson! she yelled, noticing that she can't do nothing for keep the woman inside the house. Miss limerick was worry about her job - what will happen if Albert mother learn that Annabelle not listen the advice at the end of the pregnancy?

(Preston stood a little unsure of what to do. He could see that Annabelle was desperate to come away from the house, but he did not whish to jump to conclusion without everyone agreeing with the situation. He had just arrived, so was this appropriate of him to do this action, he thought)

Preston: Well, are you sure you are fit to go outside in your condition? I will not be responsible if anything were to happen to you Annabelle.

(He looked at Annabelle and hoped that she would reconsider, but hearing the nurse shout made him think that a walk perhaps wasn’t too bad, and Annabelle wanted to go, so he guessed there wasn’t any harm in just a little stroll outside)

"No you too?" she said sadly.

Annabelle thought gone on about everyone were against here this last days. She sighed while thinking that next week they will move to Boston and will left for the first time this place forever. The pregnancy, the move, the nurse - everything together exhausted her.

"I'm not sick, I'm pregnant." she glanced to the histerical nurse. "And any doctors will told you that fresh air is good for the health."

She looked back to Preston. "You have the choice. You can come with me or I can walk alone."



While she walk talking, she pick-up the watering can near the door while thinking to water the flowers in front of the manor.

(Preston felt bad about rejecting Annabelle and tried to smile to her for forgiveness)

Preston: I am sorry. I am not very familiar on the subject of pregnancy. But if you by all means are determined in your decision, then I will walk with you, so I will be there in case something was to happen.

(Preston took Annabelle by her arm and they began to walk away from the house. While moving away, they could here behind them the nurse shouting at them)

Nurse: Sir, you have no right to come here, taking the young lady and bringing her in danger. What do you think you are doing? You come back here Mrs. Emerson. I am warning you, if you don’t come back this instant, it will be your death.

(Preston tried not to look back and hoped he had done the right thing)



** Tag Annabelle**

(OOC - You know why I mentionned you that suggest to not send a nurse to CS for Annabelle new pregnancy could be better for the health of them? lol)

"I'll take all the responsability. tell it to Mr. Emerson or his mother if you want." Annabelle said, while exiting the house with Preston.

She moved not to far of the main door, in direction of where a large bouquet of whites flowers a window.

Annabelle sighed, realizing that the situation wasn't a way to welcome a guest. "Sorry Preston." she said while looking at him. "You probably not expected this when you cam here. But everything was fast, too fast, since..." she paused and glanced around. "Since Sebastian death. The wedding, the pregnancy, Albert always working more than ever and the move in Boston in two week. And by the way, what bring you here?" she asked, not remembered to have some visit to come this last week in the South.

(Preston felt sorry for Annabelle. He knew she was going threw a lot)

Preston: Actually, I had an important business meeting in town. Rather unexpected really, but it turned out for my satisfactions. It was when I was on my way back to the train-station, that I thought how it would be nice to visit you and Albert again.

(He gave Annabelle a warm smile, but his expression quickly turned more serious)

Preston: I understand Albert is very busy these days. It must be hard, especially with the baby coming soon.
And I hope you forgive me, coming here unexpected. It wasn’t my intention of barging in without a notice. I just thought I had to grab the chance, now that I so rarely visit these parts.



** Tag Annabelle **

[Annabelle Rose Emerson]

(Annabelle smiled, rare she had the attention of someone else - other than nurse who was only doing her duties asked by her mother-in-law. She sat down on a wood bench, following by Preston)

Annabelle: Sometime I thought that this baby will never arrive. I feel like it was an eternity with this big belly. Oh, and when your wife will be pregnant, a good advice, let the nurse away! I feel someday like i was a five years old kid with only restrictionon eerything... not eat that, not do that, bed time sooner, and I forgot a lot!

(Annabelle grinned. She always talked too much and she knew it.)

Annabelle: Wait.

(Her face amazed suddently - her face could be similar to a kid who just had the go to select all candies in a candies shop!).

Annabelle: Look.

(She took Preston hand - which didn't expected it and freeze at the move - for put it on her belly).

Annabelle: The baby is awaken now and kick me! You feel it?

(The fascination in her voice shown a bunch of unexplainable joy.)

Annabelle: That is the reward for all this last months. But this kind of moment will miss me a lot when the baby will be born.


** Tag Preston **

(Preston was somehow shocked by Annabelle’s move, but felt the joy with her. He smiled to her but after few seconds he withdrew his hand)

Preston: Yes, I felt it. You must be looking forward to see your child when it’s finally born.

(Annabelle smiled and nodded. Preston looked around at the surroundings)

Preston: I’ve never really paid attention to just how beautiful your outside garden is. It’s so well managed. Aren’t you going to miss anything from this place once you move?

(Annabelle smiled to the first question).

Annabelle: I can't wait for tell the true, but I just hope that Victor... or Vicky...

(She bit her lips, in despite that it was 50/50 of chance to be a boy or a girl, Albert already started to call the baby Victor - in name of his father - by wanting to have a son.)

Annabelle: I just want that the baby not decide to come in the train, that scare me a little for tell the true.

(When Preston talked about the garden and the place, Annabelle smile faded out.)



Annabelle: For sure, for the few time I visited the Emerson in Boston, it was far different of here. This garden is a so lovely place for kids to grow up... but the last year event bring us to...

(Annabelle didn't completed her sentence and stood up.)

Annabelle: I think that is time to go back inside, it will be time for the tea.

** Tag Preston **

(Preston remembered quickly the horrible event that had taken place here and felt terrible about making such a foolish comment about the place)

Preston: Forgive me. I shouldn’t have spoken with such joy towards a place with such a dreadful past. I am terrible sorry Annabelle.

(Preston took a look around what he just a little while ago thought highly about)



Preston: The sooner the better you leave this place.

(Preston took his arm around Annabelle to give her comfort and they began to walk up to the mansion)

(Near the main door, Annabelle turned few second for look the arounds. After a long silence, she sighed.)

Annabelle: I just hope that the new owners will have better chance here...

(She felt some pain - Annabelle didn't knew if if was because she was left the plaec where she lived since her birth or the remember of the lost of her beloved people in this last years.

Annabelle: And with the war to be, it maybe better for the baby to be in Boston finally. Did Albert told you that he purchased Laura's house? Laura put so many work in the house but since she will stay in England for a long time, he thought tha....

(She paused while thinking how ackward she was often when she talked freely. Her thougt left on Laura late husband, which was Preston brother too.)



(Unease, she try to avoid Preston glance and step in the stair before look at him with a smile for hide her unease).

Annabelle: But we hope that you will come se us more often when we will be in Boston. You know, Albert don't stop to bug me about you famous poker long evening of before.

(The door opened at the same moment - the nurse was waiting impatiently inside Annabelle return).

Annabelle: Don't worry Miss limerick. I'm safe and the baby too.

Annabelle faked a smile for the nurse before glanced to Butler.

Annabelle: Butler, we will take the tea in my bedroom, do the necessary please.

Butler nodded to his mistress and left to the kitchen.
