Born In Virginia, she meet Adam Bartlett in her childhood and get married a 16 years old. The moved to Colorado Springs when Adam had a job of miners in the region.
John born during the travel to Colorado Springs. Few years after, the mines was now empty and Adam didn't have more job. He worked as lumberjack since this time, which mean he is often away of the home, especially at the end of the summer until the first snow of December.
Margaret is a mother-at-home and raise her children the best she can.
In 1872, her son Paul died during the dyphsteria epidemic, which hapened in November, when Adam was working outside of the town.
Their small house is the next on the road after the O'Neill homestead.
