Erika VS Jessica - Who’s the better Colleen?

Erika Flores portrayed the character as Colleen Cooper in seasons 1-3, until her replacement by Jessica Bowman who took over the role from the middle of season 3 to the season 6 + the 2001 movie The Heart Within.

The question is who was the better Colleen?



My vote goes to Erika Flores. Her portrayal as Colleen was IMPO the best for particular reasons. First of all, she was there first, so everyone had gotten to know her version of Colleen and had adjusted to her. Second, her appearance matched perfectly to how a sister to the two brothers should look. Erika also acted more like a girl living in the west and had a loving personality that faded away when Jessica replaced her role.

I Agree with you, Erika Flores had first created the character Colleen. She had the softness of a child who lost her mother, who mothered her two brothers and showed she could love a person even though she was not her blood relative. Don't get me wrong i did like Jessica but she added a sort of edge to Colleen and I suppose made Colleen grow up much before her time. Both are talented actresses, who portrayed a character muched love by people. It is a shame that neither had the opportunity to take their character through the adult world and explore major storylines....lucky for us, we have the role play.

Jessica is good and beautiful, but I must admit that I woudl really wished see Erika growing in her character!

Many peopel said that Erika wouldn't be able to handle like Colleen did, but remember - in season 4, they alreayd changed her style. If Erika had the chance to grew up and become a young woman in the West, I can imagine how it would be - great!

And for people which said it wcouldn't match with Andrew, well, it could be disuting. See how she is in her older picture, beautiful and soft, a lady face! I also foudn that Erika had a certain strenght in her person aura that Jessica didn't had, something of the West grew up girl missing.

ALso, I just noticed in the hair style - Erika had a bang and Jessica no. This made a difference on the look, if we coudl have the chance to see Erika with long hair (no bang), it would help to remove thi child image that we have of her as Colleen.

With the second pic, I'm sure it would had been a great older Colleen matching for the serie!

I vote for Jessica, but probably because she's the last Colleen and she was more mature. Though I have to admitt that Erika looks more like her brother, but I thought she was a little annoying.
