Day 2 - Evening - Back from Denver

It was six in the evening when Jake and Loren finally made it back to Colorado Springs, having been in Denver most of the day. It had been a long but exiting day for Loren with his best friend. He was happy for Jake, but one of the only things he could think of at the moment, was getting back to his store and make sure everything was alright, and afterwards have a good long sleep so he could get up bright and early the next morning.



Loren: Well, we’re back, and finally. That train ride felt like the longest I’ve ever been on.

*Tag Jake or anyone at the train station*

[Jake Slicker]

Jake: I agree Loren, it was a long ride home. But at least it was better than taking a stage coach. Imagine how uncomfortable that would of been. especially if we were to share one with a women who wouldn't shut up.

*Granted he was tired for the most part and couldn't wait to get back to his wife. Jake had a real good time with Loren. As much as he wouldn't admit it out loud to anyone, he did enjoy Lorens company for the most part. And was happy that he agree to come with him on this little escapade.*

Loren: That would’ve been hard to have survived. Well, I best get over to the store, see if everything is the way I left it.

He began walking in the direction of the store. Not feeling the presents of his friend behind him, he slowly turned around, glancing towards Jake.

Loren: I suppose you’re gonna drop those supplies of at your homestead before heading on over to the boarding house.

[Jake Slicker]

Looking at the stuff before nodding.

Jake: Ya, this is to much to lug around. Let's hope she likes all this as much as we think she will. I'll catch you later Loren.

Grabbing the belongs Jake lugged them to the homestead before going to see the love of his life.

Loren: Sure she will, I guarantee it Jake…I can just picture the look on her face after you put it all up at the homestead. Boy she’s in for a surprise…

With these last words, Loren continued his walk towards the general store.
