** Read the previous part with Preston and Annabelle at the bank: Click Here **After the carriage ride from town, it had become early afternoon. Preston helped Annabelle out of the carriage and they entered the hotel’s front door, leading them into the main hallway. Preston: You should be fine here. The staff is always ready to be of service, so feel free to acquire what’s needed to make your stay as comfortable and satisfying as you see fit. I want you to have the best accommodations while you’re here Annabelle. He turned to face the stairs that led up to the rooms. Preston: Well, I should leave you for now. I’ll be returning to town and will be back in a couple of hours.

Annabelle: Thank you again. I'm sure everything would be perfect. She smiled ackwardly, feeling have made lost lot of time to the businessman today. Annabelle: I will go back to my bedroom for a rest now. Have a nice afternoon, Preston.

Preston: Thank you. Just make sure your afternoon is as pleasant as can be. He couldn’t say this enough times and he knew it probably was beginning to irritate Annabelle. Annabelle began walking up the stairs to her room. Preston watched her until she was no longer to be seen. He felt empty again having enjoyed Annabelle’s company, but there were things to be done, so better get to it he thought. A sudden feeling of hunger hit Preston and he remembered how he missed out on his meal at the café. He was to go into town for the next couple of hours and had no desire to enter the café so sudden after the unfortunate event he had experienced. It was best to have a light meal at the dinning room before departure he thought to himself, as he began walking further into the hotel. After 15 minutes he had enjoyed some nice hors d'oeuvres and was ready to leave and head into town. **Continues at the general mercantile: Click Here**
