Charles: Before left for Colorado Springs, would you mind to accept an invitation to the Hannegan's restaurant for this evening for celebrate our partnership. But maybe you already planned something for the evening, a charismatic gentleman like you, I could understood that, you should be busy in a city like St-Louis.
He smirked to Ezra, while this last was signed the paper.

Charles: Well, a good point. I mean, it would be sad to let a lady wait for you while you will be in the West, so it wouldn't affect the business.
He turned toward his his step-daughter, enthusiasm.
Charles: You heard that Gwen? Everything seem perfect for achieve this project.
She tried to smile while answering.
Gwen: Yes sir. Your project would grow up well with Mr. Standish at the lead position.
She didn't really believe what she said, but she couldn't contradict him. All the evening together, she fear that Ezra would try to enter much more in her father favor - who know what was the plan of this stranger? She should find something and quick!

Gwen: May come with you at the restaurant? I really would like to heard mote about Mr. Standish travels that he talked previously during the meeting. If he left for Colorado Springs soon, it could be the last time to heard his stories?
She glanced to Ezra with a victorious smile - she wouldn't let him alone with her father more.
Charles: If that not bother Mr. Standish, of course you can.

Charles: Well, perfect, so I will ask to my majordomo to make the reservation. The old man left the room, let Gwen and Ezra alone. The woman squint toward Ezra while walking toward for not talk loudly, but alwayson the defensive. Gwen: I will watch you Mr. Standish. I will not let someone ruins all my father works for his own benefit. I saw enought men like you turning arouns my father in my life for know that half of your speech are only for gain favor. She try with difficulty to not shown her worries - she saw her father lost two times all his work and now with his fragile health, she fear the worse if something should happen.

Charles came back in the living room at the same time.
Charles: Something wrong?
Gwendolyn smiled to himm hidding her fear.
Gwen: No sir. I was telling to Mr. Standish that I can't wait to be in the evening for heard his fabulous stories.
The woman smiled back softly to Ezra.
Gwen: Now, if you want to excuse me, I will have soem preparation to do if I want to be ready for this evening.

Charles: The reservation if for 7 pm. Well, I hope it would be a good idea, I must admit that Inoticed that Gwen not seem appreciate the works I done this last week. She not told it, but a father can notice this easily. If only I could reassure her about how everything will be done well.
