omg ya. that was just too cute and wish he had a kid with teresa just to see him interact with a baby. i think he would do a very good job with it and it would just be adorable to see him act totally opposite from what we usually see him as.

Yet, it was nice to see him wuiet, tender while speaking, and tender with the baby, that was a good portrait of him and shown how he would be great with his own children.

i was thinking that he wasnt going to be good with kids since his mother beat him and his dad was a drunk and left a few years after his mother left him.

i was thinking that he wasnt going to be good with kids since his mother beat him and his dad was a drunk and left a few years after his mother left him. Or the opposite - he suffer of miss love of his parents when he was kid and saw his sibling died. Not want to reproduce this and protect little one could be important for him - he know what it is to suffer as a kid. The only think missing was having a wife - soemone to take care and which will love him. I missed a lot of love in his childhood and now that he have someone which care about him (Teresa), his goal to ahieve a real family and not want to repeat what his parents made. The fact that is isn't a drunk anymore (like his father was) would certainly help a little to achieve his family better than his parents did.

good point i never thought of it that way. i like ur way better. Well, it is a personal observation because we don't know what it would be exactly by not saw it in season 7 or 8. But remember the episode with the dog? Both are alone and needed a to be loved. My sister-in-law work as a social worker in an high school and more then often the teens aren't so bad as people around said but they need a goal and some affection (need to see that someone care about them, congrat them when they succesfully something, etc...), exactly what Jake finally have at the end of DQ.

Yeah though I can't remember much about how he was in the later seasons. I'm watching the show through YouTube and I just finished Bad Water. The only time I can really sit down and watch is on my days off. So Monday I can try to get as many eps in as I can.

As I’ve heard, it was probably because the show needed to get "darker" to appeal to younger audience. And I’ve also heard that William Shockley (Hank) was not pleased of the change, being through so much development with his character. Thought it would be nice to have a topic for Hank as well, so I’ve made one where we can talk entirely about him: Click HereWell, back to the Jake discussion.... Who do you think was his best friend in town? If you ask me I’d say it’s Loren. Well, there are just moments where they really seem to be close friends and when Loren was selling his store (before he regrets and doesn’t) he has a conversation with Jake, like a "best friend to best friend" chat.

i am so with you on that one. i think it's loren. cuz he has that conversation but it was also loren who went into the shop and emptyed that bottles when dr quinn first tried to get jake to stop drinking.
